According to Reuters, a decision in Texas to block Planned Parenthood from receiving taxpayer money in combination with a 66 percent cut in state family planning funds due to a budget crisis will make low-cost birth control inaccessible to thousands of women in THE state. And the inaccessibility of birth control will result in a projected 20,500 additional babies, costing $231 million to state and federal taxpayers for prenatal, maternity and infant care.
